Product Features of IS Single-Stage Centrifugal Pumps:
The IS single-stage centrifugal pump is designed according to the performance and dimensions specified by the international standard ISO 2858. It is mainly composed of the pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, sealing ring, shaft sleeve, and suspension bearing.
2. The pump body and cover of the IS, IR type horizontal single-stage single-suction clean water centrifugal pump are divided at the back of the impeller, commonly referred to as the rear door structure. Its advantage is the ease of maintenance, as it is not necessary to move the pump body, suction pipeline, discharge pipeline, or motor. Simply remove the intermediate connecting part of the extended coupling, and the rotor section can be removed for maintenance.
Product Structure of the Single Stage Centrifugal Pump for IS Series
1. The housing (i.e., the pump body and cover) of the IS single-stage centrifugal pump forms the pump's working chamber. The impeller, shaft, and rolling bearings constitute the pump's rotor. The suspension bearing components support the pump's rotor section, with the rolling bearings absorbing the radial and axial forces of the pump.
2. To balance the axial force of the pump, most pumps are equipped with sealing rings both in front and at the back of the impeller, and a balancing hole is provided on the back cover plate of the impeller. However, for some pumps with minimal axial force, no sealing rings or balancing holes are installed on the impeller's back side.
3. The axial seal ring of the horizontal single-stage single-suction clear water centrifugal pump of IS, IR type is composed of packing gland, packing ring, and packing, to prevent air intake or excessive leakage. If the pump impeller is balanced, the cavity with soft packing is connected to the impeller inlet. If the liquid at the impeller inlet is in a vacuum state, it can easily enter through the surface of the shaft sleeve. Therefore, a packing ring is installed in the packing cavity through a small hole in the pump cover to guide the pressure water in the pump chamber to the packing ring for sealing. If the pump impeller does not have a balancing hole, due to the liquid pressure on the impeller backside being greater than atmospheric pressure, there is no air leakage issue, so the packing ring can be omitted.
4. To prevent shaft wear, a shaft sleeve is installed to protect the area where the shaft passes through the stuffing box. An O-ring is securely fitted between the sleeve and the shaft to prevent air or water from entering or leaking along the mating surface.
5. The IS single-stage centrifugal pump is driven by extending the elastic coupling to connect with the motor. The pump rotates in a clockwise direction when viewed from the drive end.
