Porous concrete pavement material is an eco-friendly material with high permeability for sponge city construction. It is a new paving method that can partially replace urban paved surfaces, effectively improving the urban ecosystem. It restores vitality to the city's surface, allows rainwater to infiltrate underground, effectively eliminates surface water accumulation, and is a green and environmentally friendly ground material that "breathes."

Permeable concrete paving, as a new form of urban paving, allows rainwater to infiltrate beneath the surface through large-pored structural layers or drainage permeation facilities, thereby controlling surface runoff and promoting rainwater utilization.

(1) Increase the permeable and breathable area in cities, enhance the heat and moisture exchange between the surface and air, regulate urban climate, reduce surface temperatures, and benefit in alleviating the urban "heat island" phenomenon.
(2) Maximize the use of rainfall and snowmelt to increase the relative humidity of the ground surface, replenish the increasingly depleted groundwater resources in urban areas, and utilize permeable roadbeds as "reservoirs"; improve the living conditions for urban surface plants and soil microorganisms, and adjust the ecological balance.
(3) Reduces the burden on road drainage systems during the rainy season, significantly lowering the pollution of urban water bodies caused by heavy rainfall.
(4) Absorbs noise generated by vehicle travel, creating a quiet and comfortable living and traffic environment, prevents road surface water accumulation during rain and reflects less at night.
(5) Prevents road surface ponding and night-time glare, ensuring no black ice forms on the road during winter (a nearly invisible thin layer of ice formed by frost and fog, extremely dangerous), enhancing the comfort and safety of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
(6) Large voids can absorb urban pollutant dust, reducing dust pollution.
(7) Patterns and colors can be designed to suit the environment and functional requirements, ensuring a seamless integration with the surrounding area.

The colored permeable concrete paving system is primarily used for sidewalks, bike paths, public squares, outdoor parking lots, light traffic lanes, park roads, and both sides of roads and central medians.
