Control of rich carbon gases: The flow of enrichment gas is controlled to prevent the intake of a large amount of enrichment gas in a short period. The lifespan of the oxygen probe can vary greatly due to the condition of the atmosphere and carbon potential. When more than 10% (up to MAX 15%) of the渗碳 gas is introduced, undecomposed CH4 is produced, with the platinum electrode of the probe acting as a catalyst, forming CO that adheres around ZrO2, leading to an increased CP value measurement and a shallow treated product. Moreover, the consumption of the platinum electrode on the probe and the use of anti-carburizing agents simultaneously lead to a shorter lifespan of the oxygen probe.

For atmosphere, the flow rate is 3.0L/hr, with enrichment gas at 10% approximately 8.0L/min, and at 15% approximately 12.0L/min.

5. Ensure that there are no vapors of low-melting-point metals (such as Zn, Sn, Se, Sb, As, Te, Pb, Bi, Ge, Mg, etc.) from parts, workpieces, or fixtures, as well as gases like S, P, and Ce, in the furnace atmosphere.

When using carbon inhibitor, it adheres to ZrO2, preventing contact with the furnace gas and thus making it impossible to measure the gas. Therefore, the amount of carbon inhibitor used should be controlled, and the usage instructions for the carbon inhibitor can be referred to for controlling the loading quantity. For those who frequently apply carbon-inhibiting coatings, it is recommended to switch to CO2 for carbon potential control, and the probe should be properly introduced to N2 for protection.
