If it is necessary to remove the oxygen probe from the hot furnace chamber, this operation must be done very carefully, and the speed of withdrawal or insertion should not exceed 2 inches per minute in any case.
9. General Principles: If the cause of the issue is still not found using the above methods, we recommend carbonizing the probe. A carbonizing unit can be used for this operation. When the oxygen probe is in operation on the furnace, the recommended air flow is 10-20 CFH, for a duration of 2 minutes, and then observe the performance of the oxygen probe and the atmosphere controller (if possible, turn off the recirculation fan during the carbonizing process).
