The Lambda probe from Germany's MESA has several significant advantages over conventional zirconia probes:
1. Extended service life. The Lambda probe, with its design featuring a sampling tube and a measurement chamber, significantly reduces the negative factors affecting zirconia ceramic, thereby greatly enhancing the probe's service life. The service life of Lambda probes is typically 2-3 times longer than that of conventional zirconia probes of the same grade, with the longest service life reaching 5-7 years. In contrast, conventional zirconia probes generally have a service life of 2-3 months to 1 year. Therefore, when calculated on average by service life, the actual investment by users is substantially lower than the cost of conventional oxygen probes.
