Porous concrete paving is composed of aggregates, cement, and water, often using single-size or intermittent-size coarse aggregates as the framework, with the fine aggregate content generally controlled within 20% of the total aggregates. When batching, first add cement, admixture, and coarse aggregate, then add half the water required, mix for 30 seconds; subsequently, add the additive, mix for 60 seconds; and finally, add the remaining water, mix for 120 seconds before discharging. Many countries have been extensively promoting its use, such as Germany, which expects to convert 90% of its roads to permeable paving in the short term.
