Exposed Water-Permeable Concrete Construction Process

The spray aggregate cleaner must be applied after the permeable paving has been laid, compacted, and the surface finish has been completed.

The aggregate cleaner is applied using an air pump; after the film is covered, a designated person records the time.

The supervisor regularly observes the surface cement condition based on the on-site temperature and humidity to ensure the washing time, typically washing 36 hours after the cleaning agent is applied.

The cleaning process involves high-pressure water jet washing.

The film must be peeled off in sequence, lifting a section at a time, and then cleaned before moving on to the next section. Do not remove all the film at once and clean it together.

After washing, re-cover with plastic film for maintenance. The new plastic film must not be the one previously washed with detergent. The detergent should not be pre-mixed; it must be prepared during the surface smoothing process; pour the detergent into a funnel jug and spray it individually on the surface.

The spray cleaner must be fully **coated**, and may be applied twice if necessary; after spraying the cleaner, immediately cover it with plastic film, then add a layer of colored tarpaulin on top. In windy conditions, use heavy objects to secure the film to ensure no surface is exposed to the air.
