LRD-TDS Integrated Ultrasonic Flow Meter
I. Overview
LRD-TDSThe Type Series Ultrasonic Flow Meters utilize the low-voltage, multi-pulse time-of-flight principle. They adopt high-precision and ultra-stable dual-balance signal differential transmission and differential reception digital detection technology to measure the sound wave transmission time in both forward and reverse flow directions. The flow velocity is calculated based on the time difference. They feature good stability, minimal zero-point drift, high measurement accuracy, wide range ratio, and strong anti-interference capability.
When ultrasonic beams propagate through a liquid, the liquid's flow causes minor changes in the propagation time, which varies directly with the liquid's flow rate. At zero flow, the time required for both sensors to emit and receive sound waves is identical (the only practical technology to measure zero flow); when there is medium flow, the transmission time of sound waves in the upstream direction is greater than that in the downstream direction. This relationship is expressed by the following formula:
