Electrical grade board, also known as phenolic board or bakelite, is a type of board made by using high-quality bleached wood pulp and cotton flock as reinforcing materials, and phenolic resin, a reaction product of high-purity, fully synthetic petrochemical raw materials, as the resin binder.

Phenolic Laminated Board: Molding compound made by heat pressing bleached wood pulp impregnated with phenolic resin.
Usage
FR4 PCB: Known for its insulating properties, non-static generation, wear resistance, and high-temperature tolerance, FR4 PCBs are widely used in electronic products as insulating switches and variable resistors, for molds in mechanical applications, and as fixtures on production lines. They are also suitable for use in transformer oil.
Bakelite, a synthetic chemical material, solidifies upon heating and cannot be reshaped into anything else. It is known for its non-absorbent, non-conductive, high-temperature resistance, and high strength properties. Due to its widespread use in electrical products, it has earned this name.

Features
Excellent electrical properties at room temperature, good machinability, density of 1.45, warp less than or equal to 3‰, with superior electrical, mechanical, and processing characteristics. Paper-based FR-4 is a common laminated board and also one of the most widely used and large-scale industrial laminates in the world.
