A capacitive level switch determines the presence of medium or air by measuring the dielectric constant of the medium. It is based on the capacitance formed between the capacitive level switch and the medium it is in, whether it's liquid level or air. When the probe of the capacitive level switch is immersed in liquid, there is a significant change in capacitance, which then changes the switch state to indicate and control the liquid level.

Capacitors include adjustable time delay from 0 to 30 seconds, featuring delay-on/delay-off modes. This mode is typically used to control relay "jitter" or sequential cycling. Initially, the delay control is set to zero (counter-clockwise to the bottom position). When using the delay to control relay jitter, only a slight angle of rotation is required. The delay causes the material level to fluctuate above or below the control point, yet the average level remains equal to the control point. The overage and underage are proportional to the delay time.

The static capacitive level switch determines the presence of medium or air by detecting the medium's conductivity or insulating rate. It operates based on the capacitance formed between the static capacitive level switch and the medium (liquid or air). When the probe of the static capacitive level switch is immersed in the liquid, there is a significant change in capacitance, leading to a change in the switch state to indicate and control the liquid level. It can control the level or upper/lower limit alarms for bulk, granular, powdered, and liquid materials in storage bins. It is suitable for harsh environments with high temperature, high pressure, strong corrosion, and high dust levels; widely used in industries such as metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, light industry, coal, cement, and grain.

Fault alarms reflect most major fault conditions, including power failures, which will cause the control relay to release voltage. Therefore, the state of relay voltage release is termed "alarm" status. This means that an alarm will also occur if the power is lost. The series equipment features high or low fault alarms. This action is completed by a small jumper located near the central position of the control panel (to the left of the delay adjustment).
