The emulsifying tank's function is to dissolve one or more materials (water-soluble solids, liquids, or colloidal substances, etc.) into another liquid phase, and to hydrate them into a relatively stable emulsion. It is widely used for the emulsification of raw materials such as edible oils, powders, and sugars. Some paints and lacquers also use emulsifying tanks for dispersion, especially suitable for difficultly soluble colloidal additives like CMC and xanthan gum.
