I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are our company's improved and optimized version of a mature product, featuring enhanced protection performance and critical componentry. This is a completely self-developed new generation product with advantages such as compact structure, small size, aesthetic appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, full switch type, and full adjustment type.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance complies with the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators for Valves of General Type). The explosion-proof type meets the specifications of GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjusting torque, during travel, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the switch direction according to the valve's operational characteristics; generally, the opening torque is larger than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When pressure and temperature are present, pay attention to whether it can be sealed properly. If it cannot be sealed, increase the torque value appropriately to ensure it can be sealed and opened easily.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position with a screwdriver until the cam engages the spring plate, following the arrow direction until the microswitch actuates. This indicates the initial adjustment of the "OFF" travel is complete.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then shut it off. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the valve is adjusted in the closed direction, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, and the opening stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the valve is opened to about 90%.
3. Adjustment of the adjustable opening indicator:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the gear shift and travel.
