I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed through improvements and optimizations on our mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The excellent protection grade meets the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall on-off, and overall regulating types.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control instructions, making it an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of Valves) and has explosion-proof performance in accordance with GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environment: Explosion-proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel, and ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switching direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; generally, the opening torque is larger than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, pay attention to whether it can be tightly closed. If it cannot be tightly closed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly closed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position using a screwdriver until the cam presses the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the OFF position travel is initially adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations and then close it, checking if the closure stroke meets the requirements. If not, you can readjust as per the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Adjustment of the opening direction: After the closing direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. After that, reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, indicating the opening stroke is complete. Once the stroke control mechanism is adjusted, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the opening of the valve is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustment of the adjustable opening indicator:
(1) Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after tuning the gear shift and stroke.
