I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed through improvements and optimizations to our mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, aesthetically pleasing appearance, and stable and reliable performance. With a good protection grade, they can meet the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall switch-type, and overall adjustment-type.
The DZW series products are used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, throttle valves, diaphragm valves, and their derivative products can be used for globe valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. They can accurately actuate according to control instructions, and are an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Flameproof Type "d"), as well as JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Flameproof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjusting the torque, during travel, it is essential to check if the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque direction according to the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be given to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be sealed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driven small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position adjustment shaft with a screwdriver, turning it in the direction of the arrow until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. This indicates that the "OFF" position travel has been initially adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then close it. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear to complete the opening stroke adjustment. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, the operation can be repeated several times. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable opening indicator adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and travel.
