I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed and improved upon our existing mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, all-in-one switch, and all-in-one regulating.
The DZW series is designed for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivatives can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, making it an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators for Valves) and the explosion-proof performance complies with GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque, during travel, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for the switch direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no-load and without medium pressure. When there is pressure or temperature, pay attention to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be tightly sealed, increase the torque value appropriately, aiming for tightness and ease of opening.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the push rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driven small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "Off" position using a screwdriver to adjust the shaft, turning in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, stopping when the microswitch moves. This indicates that the "Off" stroke has been initially adjusted.

At this point, turn the switch a few times electrically and then turn it off. Check if the stroke in the closing direction meets the requirements. If not, adjust according to the above procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft until the cam engages the spring plate and the micro-switch operates. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, and the open stroke adjustment is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable Opening Indicator Adjustment:
(1) Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after tuning the torque and stroke.
