Road studs/spikes, made of cast aluminum, are divided into railway and highway types. The road studs we refer to primarily pertain to highway use and are also known as raised road markers. They are a traffic safety facility, mainly installed in the middle of road markings or between double yellow lines, reminding drivers to stay within their lanes through their retroreflective properties.
