Radial shrinkage sleeve is a heat shrinkable protective material specifically designed for anti-corrosion of焊接joints on buried or overhead steel pipelines. Also known as overlap joint sleeve or joint tape. It consists of the main heat shrinkable tape, fixing strips, rubber strips, etc. The shrinkage sleeve is made of a composite of radiation cross-linked high-density polyethylene base material and special sealing heat melting adhesive. The radiation cross-linked polyethylene base material features high mechanical strength, long service life, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and resistance to environmental stress cracking; the special heat melting adhesive boasts strong adhesion, good sealing properties, and simple operation.

During the installation of open-ended heat shrinkable sleeves, under the action of heat, the sleeves uniformly shrink radially while the heat-melt adhesive layer melts, uniformly covering the pipeline surface and forming a continuous, tight anti-corrosion system with the original pipeline's anti-corrosion coating. Suitable for anti-corrosion patching at pipeline welds and bends for 2PE, 3PE, FBE, PP, and CTE coatings, and also used for repair and restoration of damage with Φ≥30mm.

Usage Instructions

First, heat the fixed plate and rubber strip to adhere them to the appropriate heat-shrinkable tape interface, forming a tubular state.

Transport and Storage

Products should be stored in a cool, shaded warehouse with temperatures between 5~30°C and relative humidity <75% to prevent sun exposure, rain, and damage from compression and deformation during transportation. Storage period is 12 months, and they should be kept away from heat sources and open flames.
