The series of polyethylene heat shrinkable tapes are designed for anti-corrosion and insulation of buried and overhead steel pipeline weld joints, as well as for insulation joint sealing. Also known as heat shrinkable joint strips, they are commonly referred to as pipeline anti-corrosion heat shrinkable sleeves, heat shrinkable opening sleeves, pipeline heat shrinkable joint sleeves, and pipeline heat shrinkable wrapping sheets. Heat shrinkable tapes are cover sleeves designed for steel pipeline anti-corrosion, featuring independent fixing tabs, and are composed of radiation cross-linked polyolefin base material and special sealing hot melt adhesive.

Polyethylene shrinkable tape is composed of radiation cross-linked polyolefin base material and special sealing hot melt adhesive. This special sealing hot melt adhesive forms a good bond with the polyolefin base material, steel pipe surface, and solid epoxy coating. During heating and installation, as the base material shrinks radially, the internal composite adhesive layer melts, tightly wrapping around the joint area to form a robust anti-corrosion barrier on the outside of the pipe, along with the base material. It boasts excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and good resistance to UV and photoaging. Additionally, polyethylene shrinkable tape, known in the industry as a live sleeve, is different from the dead sleeve of heat shrink sleeves. It includes a sealing strip and a fixing piece, and is convenient for mass production and installation.
