Open-ended heat shrinkable sleeves are specifically designed as thermal shrinkable anti-corrosion patch materials for the anti-corrosion of welded joints on buried or overhead steel pipelines. Also known as overlap patch sleeves or patch tapes. They are composed of the main heat shrinkable tape, fixing strips, rubber strips, and other parts. The heat shrinkable sleeves are made of composite materials of radiation cross-linked high-density polyethylene and special sealing hot melt adhesives. The radiation cross-linked polyethylene base material has high mechanical strength, a longer service life, resistance to corrosion, aging, and environmental stress cracking; the special hot melt adhesive features strong adhesion, good sealing properties, and simple operation.
During the installation of open-ended heat shrinkable sleeves, under the action of heat, the sleeve shrinks uniformly radially while the adhesive layer melts, uniformly covering the surface of the pipeline and forming a continuous, tight anticorrosion system with the original pipeline's anticorrosion coating. Suitable for anticorrosion joint repair and bending area protection of pipelines with 2PE, 3PE, FBE, PP, and CTE coatings, and also used for damage repair of Φ≥30mm.
Product Features
High mechanical strength, excellent resistance to aging and environmental stress, superior adhesive properties, wear and corrosion resistance, and excellent resistance to ultraviolet and light aging.
Usage Instructions
First, heat the fixed plate and rubber strip to adhere them to the appropriate heat shrinkable tape joint, forming a tubular shape.
Transportation and Storage
Products should be stored in a cool, dry place with temperatures between 5~30°C and relative humidity below 75% to prevent sun damage, rain, and deformation due to pressure during transportation. Storage period is 12 months, and they should be kept away from heat sources and open flames.
