Recently, our company participated in the cultural construction of the New Campus of Chengdu No.7 High School (Chengdu High School). With high recognition from the school leadership, we successfully implemented the integrated design and construction project for the "Curved Stream and Drifting Cups" cultural landscape. The completed "Curved Stream and Drifting Cups" landscape will once again become one of the highlights of the cultural construction of the New Campus of Chengdu No.7 High School (Chengdu High School), adding another beautiful sight to the school.
Emphasizing the heritage of history and culture, it enhances the grandeur of historic schools, making every corner a story. The company, adapting to the local conditions at this scenic spot, selects the historical allusion of "drinking from the flowing water" as the creative concept for landscape design. It beautifully reenacts the ancient gathering in the first three days of the third month of the year Yonghe nine (353 AD), where the literary scholar Wang Xizhi and his circle of scholars enjoyed the flowing water while drinking and composing poetry. It was during this passionate gathering that the great calligrapher Wang Xizhi wrote the "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion." After the ritual purification at the Orchid Pavilion, the elegant custom of "drinking from the flowing water" while composing poetry has been passed down to the present day.
This traditional history is very ancient, dating back to the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty. As recorded in the "Continuation of the Qiheng Ji" by Wu Jun of the Southern Dynasties: "In ancient times, when Zhou Gong divined the city of Luoyi, he floated wine in the flowing water, hence the verses in the lost 'Book of Songs' say:Bowl floating with the flowing waves'。”
