A plate-type condenser is a novel and efficient condenser made up of a series of metal plates with a certain corrugated shape. These plates form thin rectangular channels between them, facilitating heat exchange. Plate heat exchangers are ideal for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. They feature high heat exchange efficiency, minimal heat loss, compact and lightweight design, small footprint, easy installation and cleaning, wide application, and long service life. Under the same pressure drop, the footprint is one-third of that of a tubular heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can reach over 90%.
Plate-type condensers consist of a series of corrugated metal plates with holes for the two liquids to pass through for heat transfer. The metal plates are mounted in a frame with a fixed plate and an adjustable clamping plate on one side, and are secured with clamping bolts. Gaskets are fitted on the plates to seal the fluid passages and guide the fluid alternately into their respective channels.
