46. The pipe network system of the high-pressure fine water mist fire suppression system utilizes stainless steel pipes (304) with anti-corrosion properties, as once rust occurs, the rust deposits in the pipes can block the nozzles, leading to system failure. The cleanliness of the pipe network system is crucial for the high-pressure fine water mist fire suppression system, thus, after installation, the pipes must be strictly flushed, pressure tested, and swept. All pipes are焊接 using the TIG welding method.

47. High-pressure fine mist pump unit (water supply system) composition: includes fine mist nozzles (open, closed), filters, zone control valve sets (boxes), water tanks, and stainless steel pipes, etc.

48. High-pressure fine mist pressure switch:

Loosen the top screw of the pressure switch and remove the cover.

2. Connect one of the cable wires to the common terminal.

3. Connect the additional cable wire to the normally open contact.

4. After wiring is complete, securely close the lid and tighten the screws to restore to original condition.

49. Operation Principle of High-Pressure Fine Mist Open System: In the quiescent state, the fine mist system maintains a certain pressure in the pipeline from the pump group outlet to the front of the zone control valve box. When the pressure drops below the set start pressure of the pressure maintaining pump by 1MPa, the pressure maintaining pump starts up, ensuring the pipeline of the system maintains a stable pressure of (1-1.2) MPa.

50. High-pressure fine mist open system working principle: Upon detection of a fire signal by the detector, the fire alarm control main unit transmits the signal to the electric ball valve within the pump group control cabinet and the zone control valve box. The high-pressure plunger pump automatically starts, and the electric ball valve in the zone control valve box opens. High-pressure water is then piped through to the nozzle to form a mist for fire extinguishing.

51. Working Principle of High-Pressure Fine Mist Open System: The pressure switch feedback system within the zoning control valve box sends out a release signal, upon which the main unit receives the feedback signal and simultaneously activates the spray indicator light.

52. Working Principle of High-Pressure Fine Mist Closed System: In the standby condition, the fine mist system maintains a certain pressure in the pipeline from the pump group outlet to the valve box in front of the zoning control, when the pipeline pressure drops and falls below the 1MPa set start-up pressure of the pressure maintaining pump, the pressure maintaining pump starts up to keep the system pipeline at a stable pressure of (1-1.2) MPa.

53. Working Principle of High-Pressure Fine Mist Closed System: Upon detecting a fire signal, the fire alarm control main unit transmits a signal to the pump group control cabinet. The high-pressure plunger pump starts up, and the electric ball valve inside the zone control valve box opens. The entire pipeline is filled with high-pressure water. Once the glass ball of the closed sprinkler head reaches the action temperature, it shatters, and the high-pressure water forms a mist through the nozzle for fire extinguishing.

54. Operating Principle of High-Pressure Fine Mist Closed System: The pressure switch feedback system within the zone control valve box sends out a release signal, upon which the main unit receives the feedback signal and联动ly activates the spray indicator light.

55. Automatic startup of high-pressure fine mist system: When a fire occurs within the protected area, the fire detector detects the fire and sends a signal to the fire alarm controller. The fire alarm controller confirms the area of the fire based on the fire detector's address and then sends a control signal to initiate the fire extinguishing system, starting the high-pressure plunger pump and opening the corresponding section control valves.

56. Automatic startup of high-pressure fine water mist system: After the section valve is opened, water in the system pipeline quickly reaches working pressure (closed pre-action system waits for the closed spray head to sense the bursting temperature, then the glass ball automatically bursts), and sprays by forming a misting effect through high-pressure fine water mist nozzles, producing fine water mist to extinguish fires.

57. Manual Electric Start for High-Pressure Fine Mist System: Remote Start: When a fire is detected, before the fire detector activates, the electric valve button of the corresponding zone control valve box can be initiated remotely from the fire control center, to activate the zone valve. The pump can automatically start to supply water and extinguish the fire.

58. High-pressure fine mist system manual electrical start: On-site start-up: When a fire is detected, the local zone control valve box can be opened to manually activate the zone valve control button to open the zone valve for extinguishing the fire.

59. Mechanical emergency start of high-pressure fine mist system: In the event of a failure in the fire alarm system, the handle on the area valve can be manually operated to open the area valve for extinguishing fires. Note: The emergency start of a closed fine mist system can be achieved by breaking the glass ball of the closed spray head.

High-pressure fine mist is produced by professional equipment under low design working pressure, with a mist droplet cumulative distribution of Dv0.99 < 300μm on a plane 1m from the nozzle. High-pressure water mist has functions such as cooling, humidifying, dust suppression, fire prevention, and landscaping, and can be used in industrial, breeding, planting, and entertainment fields.

61. Fire Extinguishing Mechanism of High-Pressure Fine Water Mist: Rapid Cooling and Local Asphyxiation - Advanced dual-action fire extinguishing mechanism: When water is emitted from a nozzle of a special material, it forms a mist with particle sizes between 10-100 micrometers, which has a smaller surface area. Upon contact with fire, it rapidly vaporizes, expanding in volume up to 1700-5800 times, absorbing a large amount of heat and quickly lowering the temperature of the burning surface; simultaneously, the vaporized water forms steam, enveloping and covering the entire combustion area, causing the fire to suffocate due to oxygen deprivation.

62. The fire extinguishing mechanism of high-pressure fine water mist: The heat absorption is calculated based on the latent heat of water evaporation at 100°C, which is 2257 kJ/kg. Each fine water mist nozzle absorbs approximately 300 kW of heat for every 1 kg of fine water mist sprayed, demonstrating its high heat absorption rate and strong cooling effect.

63. Suppression Mechanism of High-Pressure Fine Water Mist Fire Extinguishing: As the fine water mist encounters heat and vaporizes, it expands rapidly to 1700-5800 times its original volume, forming a dense steam blanket around the burning material. This creates a barrier that prevents fresh air from entering, causing the combustion to be interrupted due to lack of oxygen.

64. Suppression Mechanism of High-Pressure Fine Water Mist: After the fine water mist evaporates, the resulting steam quickly envelops the burning material, flame, and smoke, effectively blocking the radiant heat of the flame and preventing its spread.

65. The fire extinguishing mechanism of high-pressure fine water mist: In addition to its smoke and dust suppression effects, high-pressure fine water mist also has a cleaning action on smoke and debris. This is because the ash, carbon particles, and harmful gases from the combustion adhere to the fine water droplets, resulting in cleaning. Statistics show that in fire accidents, 70% of the fatalities are not directly caused by burns but by the inhalation of high-temperature smoke and toxic gases.

66. Mechanism of fire extinguishing by high-pressure fine water mist: Involves wetting action – capable of extinguishing oil fires. The fine water mist particles travel at high speed, penetrating the surface of burning oil materials, wetting them. This prevents the generation of further flammable gas materials. Additionally, due to the small size of the mist particles, they do not disturb the liquid surface, causing splashes, thus achieving the objectives of extinguishing the fire and preventing its spread.

67. High-pressure fine water mist fire extinguishing mechanism: Three-dimensional movement – explanation for being able to fully or partially extinguish fires. During the atomization process, some smaller diameter droplets of the high-pressure fine water mist do not travel solely in the direction of the jet. Instead, they create lateral and upward movements within the jet, entering the upper space of the nozzle. This allows the fine water mist to fill the entire space of the protected area, with smaller particle sizes resulting in more intense lateral transfer phenomena. This is also referred to as three-dimensional fire extinguishing.

68. Mechanism of extinguishing fires with high-pressure fine water mist: Explanation for its ability to extinguish electrical fires, and why high-pressure fine water mist does not conduct electricity when extinguishing electrical fires: The droplet diameter is small (10-100 micrometers), and the spray is discontinuous, allowing it to remain suspended in the air for a long time. It takes a large quantity and a long time for the water mist to coalesce and condense, making it difficult to form a continuous conductive water flow or surface area on the electrode, and its resistivity is slightly lower than that of air.

69. The open-type fine water mist fire extinguishing system uses water as the medium, and employs special atomizing nozzles to break the water stream into tiny droplets under specific pressure (usually 14Mpa) for fire extinguishing. It is a fixed fire extinguishing system characterized by economy and broad application scope, and has become an important technology replacing halon fire extinguishing systems, with a promising application prospect.

70. Composition and Working Principle of High-Pressure Fine Water Mist: The fine water mist fire extinguishing system consists of a high-pressure fine water mist storage tank, a pump unit for the fine water mist fire extinguishing system (including the main high-pressure pump, auxiliary high-pressure pump, pressure regulating pump, control cabinet of the pump unit, inlet solenoid valve, inlet filter, regulating water tank, etc.), a water supply system, a water supply network, a set of control valves for the fine water mist fire extinguishing system, fine water mist nozzles, high-pressure fine water mist pipes, and a fire detection and alarm system.
