Description

1. Carbon dioxide fire suppression systems are categorized into two types: High-pressure Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression Systems and Low-pressure Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression Systems.

2. Features of Low-Pressure Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishing System: The low-pressure carbon dioxide automatic fire extinguishing system is developed based on the principles of the high-pressure carbon dioxide automatic fire extinguishing system and possesses unique advantages.

3. Compared to high-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems, low-pressure carbon dioxide systems have the advantages of lower pressure, larger storage capacity, higher extinguishing efficiency, and smaller land occupation due to the use of low-temperature cylinder storage.

4. Low-pressure CO2 fire suppression systems offer excellent overall cost-effectiveness, particularly for larger fire protection projects. They can save investments by approximately 30% compared to high-pressure CO2 systems, with greater savings as the scale of the project increases.

5. The low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system not only automatically discharges extinguishing agent at pre-set times but also allows for manual activation or shutdown to control the discharge. It not only saves on the amount of agent used but is also suitable for places where fires occur frequently.

6. The refrigeration system of the low-pressure carbon dioxide storage unit offers two types of evaporators for customer selection:

7. Detachable evaporator for low-pressure CO2 fire suppression systems, with the advantage of easy maintenance and replacement (patent obtained).

8. Serpentine tube evaporator for low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems, featuring excellent heat exchange performance and energy-saving electricity consumption. The system's selector valve is a patented product independently developed by our company, known for its reliable performance and ease of operation.

9. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing general solid fires (i.e., Class A fires), gas fires (Class C fires), and Class B fires involving flammable liquids (Category 1, 2, and 3).

10. Carbon dioxide extinguishing does not contaminate the fire environment, leaves no traces after extinguishing, does not corrode equipment, and is non-conductive, making it suitable for extinguishing fires involving electrical equipment and circuits.

11. CO2 fire suppression system protection zones include storage rooms with valuable items or precious documents.

12. Chemical fires that can be extinguished by CO2 fire suppression systems and provide oxygen themselves, such as nitrocellulose.

13. Carbon dioxide fire suppression systems for fires involving reactive metals and their hydrides.

14. Fire involving chemically decomposable substances in a carbon dioxide fire suppression system.

15. Carbon dioxide fire suppression system, smoldering fire within the fiber.

16. Low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems are characterized into two types: the管网自动灭火系统管网自动灭火系统(manuscript extinguishing systems) and the non-networked automatic extinguishing systems. The networked automatic extinguishing systems further divide into independent unit systems and combined distribution systems.

17. The low-pressure CO2 automatic fire extinguishing system without a network is composed of three main parts: fire detectors, alarm controllers, and fire extinguishing devices.

18. A low-pressure CO2 unit independent fire extinguishing system is a fire extinguishing system that protects a protected area with one fire extinguishing storage device. It consists of fire detectors, alarm controllers, fire extinguishing agent storage devices, piping systems, and nozzles.

19. The Low-Pressure Carbon Dioxide Combination Distribution System is a storage unit for fire extinguishing systems serving multiple protected areas, with extinguishing agents stored based on the gas consumption of the larger protected area. The combination distribution system consists of a fire detection and alarm system, a fire extinguishing control system, and the storage unit.

20. The low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system releases a large volume of CO2 gas around the burning material or throughout the protected sealed space via nozzles. This reduces the oxygen content around the burning material or in the air, bringing it below the ignition point, thus extinguishing the fire by "asphyxiation." Additionally, it also offers a cooling effect.

21. The storage tank of the low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system maintains the normal storage temperature of the carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent between -20℃ and -18℃, with corresponding pressure ranging from 1.9MPa to 2.1MPa.

22. The low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system initiates the refrigeration unit and the refrigerant starts working upon the storage tank pressure reaching 2.1 MPa.

23. The low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system stops operating when the storage tank pressure drops to 1.9 MPa.

24. The low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system triggers an audible and visual alarm when the storage tank pressure reaches 2.2 MPa or 1.8 MPa. Additionally, an alarm signal is activated when the liquid level in the storage tank is at its upper or lower limits.

25. When the liquid level of the low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system falls below the lower limit, it should be replenished promptly. Upon the pressure rising to 2.38 ± 0.12, the safety valve will automatically open to ensure the safety of the storage tank.

26. When the control mode of the low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system is set to "Automatic," the fire suppression system operates in an automatic control state.

27. In the event of a fire within the protected area, upon receiving a fire extinguishing signal from the automatic fire extinguishing alarm controller, the fire extinguishing controller sends an electrical signal to open the solenoid valve, releasing the starting gas to activate the main control valve and the corresponding selector valve, thereby releasing the extinguishing agent for fire suppression.

28. Once the fire control time is reached (typically 60 seconds), the main control valve automatically closes, and the selector valve must be manually closed. The system then returns to the standby state for fire suppression.

29. The fire suppression system operates in manual control mode when the automatic control fails or the control mode on the fire suppression controller is switched to "Manual."

30. In the event of a fire in the protected area, the low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system can be activated by pressing the corresponding zone start button to open the solenoid valve and release the starting gas. This then opens the main control valve and the corresponding selector valve, releasing the extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire.

31. In the event of a fire in the protected area of a low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system when the fire control unit cannot issue a fierce fire command, the interlocked equipment should be shut down, and the corresponding selector and main control valves should be manually opened to release the extinguishing agent for fire suppression.

32. In the fire-protection area protected by the low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system, if no abnormal conditions are detected within the delay time upon a fire alarm, the extinguishing system does not need to be activated. The manual emergency stop/start button can be pressed to prevent the extinguishing controller from issuing extinguishing commands. 33. In the fire-protection area protected by the low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system, if the delay has ended and an abnormal condition is detected after the extinguishing system has been activated, the manual emergency stop button can still be pressed, or the main control valve on the storage tank can be manually closed to immediately stop the release of the extinguishing agent.

Low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system storage units and accessories should be installed indoors or outdoors with rain and sun protection facilities (controllers must be placed indoors), with the room size sufficient to accommodate the daily observation needs of on-duty personnel of instruments, compressors, and other equipment.

34. Storage devices for low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing systems should be installed within the bottle storage room, which should be located in a room easily accessible to personnel, convenient for entry and exit, and not prone to fire.

35. The storage room for low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system must be well-ventilated. Otherwise, additional ventilation and air exchange facilities should be installed, and direct sunlight radiation on the storage equipment should be avoided.

36. During the installation process, the storage device of the low-pressure CO2 fire extinguishing system should be handled with care to avoid collisions; otherwise, the factory will not assume responsibility.

37. During the hoisting and installation process, construction personnel are strictly prohibited from tampering with any components on the storage unit, such as instruments, gauges, refrigeration equipment, gas control circuits, valves, etc.

38. The manufacturer has conducted air tightness and strength tests on all components of the low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system during installation. Due to difficulties in road transportation, the pressure gauge, safety valve, and compressor may be disassembled. The installation of these equipment items will be handled by the manufacturer's after-sales personnel upon arrival.

39. The entire storage unit, gas pipeline, instrument wiring, etc., for the low-pressure CO2 fire suppression system is fully in place on the tank. Upon completion of the installation of the entire low-pressure CO2 network, the manufacturer's after-sales staff will provide technical guidance and assistance in installing the selector pipe, instrument wiring, and the connection between the fire control unit and the storage unit.

40. The low-pressure carbon dioxide fire suppression system can only be filled once the above work is fully completed. Storage room entrances and exits must not be obstructed with any debris, to ensure smooth operation and maintenance.
