HSi80-3 Silicon Bronze - This silicon bronze is an alloy of copper, zinc, and silicon, with copper sheets, bars, rods, and tubes. It boasts high corrosion resistance in both air and seawater and a superior ability to resist stress corrosion cracking compared to regular bronze. The silicon content is typically below 4%. The commonly used 80Cu-17Zn-3Si silicon bronze can withstand hot pressure processing, has excellent corrosion resistance, and features a tensile strength of 300MPa in the soft state with an elongation of 58%. It is suitable for manufacturing ship parts, steam pipe fittings, and water pipe accessories. The lead content of this alloy must not exceed 0.01%, as exceeding this level can damage its thermal plasticity, particularly its hot forging properties. The leaded silicon bronze 65Cu-31.5Zn-1.5Si-Pb offers high machinability, lubricity, and corrosion resistance, and is primarily used as a substitute for wear-resistant bronze. HSi80-3 silicon bronze has good mechanical properties, high corrosion resistance, no tendency to corrode and crack, good wear resistance, and excellent pressure processing capabilities in both cold and hot states. It is easy to weld and braze, with good machinability. Its thermal and electrical conductivity is lower than that of bronze.
