Through-aisle shelving: Drive-in shelving, cantilever shelving, aisle shelving
Ideal for goods with large quantities and few varieties, forklifts can directly enter the goods channel for storage, achieving high warehouse utilization.
Through-aisle racking, also known as drive-in racking or aisleless racking, is a continuous, single-bay storage system without dividing aisles. Pallets are stacked on supporting guides in a depth-wise manner, one after another, making high-density storage possible. Goods are accessed from the same side of the rack, with a first-in, first-out system. Pallet trucks can easily drive into the middle of the rack for loading and unloading. Drive-in racking has a relatively low investment cost and is suitable for scenarios with large horizontal dimensions, fewer varieties, higher quantities, and predictable access patterns, often used for storing large volumes of identical goods. Due to its high storage density and efficient use of floor space, it is commonly used in high-cost storage areas like cold storage facilities.
