Suitable for roughing, concentrating, and scavenging operations, it can separate coarse sand (2-0.5mm), fine sand (0.5-0.074mm), and mud (-0.074) into different grain sizes. It can also be used for separating iron, manganese ore, and coal. When processing tungsten, tin ore, etc., the effective recovery particle size range of the shaking table is 2-0.22mm.

The mineral particle group is fed into the bed from the feed trough at the corner of the bed, while horizontal flushing water is supplied by the water supply trough. As a result, under the action of gravity, the force of the horizontal water flow, the reciprocating and asymmetric motion of the bed surface, and the inertia and friction, the particles are stratified according to their specific gravity and particle size, and move longitudinally along the bed surface and laterally along the inclined bed surface. Therefore, particles of different specific gravity and particle size gradually flow in a fan shape from the A side to the B side along their respective movement directions, and are discharged from different zones at the concentrate end and tailings side, subsequently separated into concentrate, middlings, and tailings.
