Fiberglass tanks are categorized into vertical and horizontal fiberglass storage tanks, fiberglass transport tanks, fiberglass reaction tanks, various chemical storage tanks, food-grade storage tanks, large fiberglass containers. They are made with different types of epoxy, furan, and phenolic resins as binders, consisting of a corrosion-resistant inner lining with high resin content, a leakage-proof layer, a fiber-wound reinforcing layer, and an outer protective layer, selected based on the medium used (storage or transportation).
Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Tank Advantages and Features: GFRP products boast excellent physical properties, with a higher specific strength compared to steel, cast iron, and plastic. Their thermal conductivity is only 0.5 times that of steel, making them an excellent thermal and electrical insulator. GFRP products offer great design flexibility and superior wall structure performance. They operate at temperatures ranging from -50 to 200°C and have a pressure resistance of generally less than 6.4 MPa, featuring pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and a long service life. They also have characteristics such as lightweight, high strength, impermeability, heat insulation, electrical insulation, non-toxicity, and a smooth surface. Mechanical winding GFRP containers can adjust the physical and chemical properties of the product to suit different media and working conditions by altering the resin system or using different reinforcing materials. This, along with the design of structural layer thickness, winding angle, and wall thickness to create different pressure ratings, is a significant feature of fiber winding composite materials.
Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) Tank Applications: Widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, textile, dyeing, electricity, transportation, food brewing, artificial synthesis, water supply and drainage, seawater desalination, and irrigation. Capable of storing various corrosive media, it resists a range of acids, bases, salts, and organic solvents. Suitable for the storage and transportation of products like hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, wine, hydrogen peroxide, and wastewater. Also serves as underground oil tanks, insulated storage tanks, and transportation tank trucks.
