
What is a brazed plate heat exchanger?
Brazed plate heat exchangers are assembled by stacking a series of metal plates with specific corrugated shapes and then brazing them together. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates for heat exchange. The heat exchanger is composed of thin metal plates pressed into a corrugated shape. Fluid flows through channels between the plates via meticulously arranged corner joints, with the cold and hot media always flowing in opposite directions in adjacent channels for heat exchange. Since the plate edges are brazed, the medium does not leak out of the equipment. The contact points of the brazed plate heat exchanger plates are also焊接 points to withstand the pressure of the medium.
Brazed plate heat exchangers are an evolution of removable heat exchangers, with the sealing material transitioning from gaskets to copper or nickel. All plates are bonded together using copper or nickel brazing. Just as all contact points on removable heat exchanger plates must be tightly sealed, all contact points on brazed heat exchangers must be fully brazed to ensure high heat exchange efficiency and pressure resistance, as well as a long service life.
