When water droplets come into contact with the air, cooling occurs due to both direct heat transfer between the air and water and the pressure difference between the water vapor surface and the air, which results in evaporation under pressure. This evaporation carries away the latent heat from the water through heat transfer with unsaturated dry air, thereby cooling the cooling water.
