When water droplets come into contact with air, cooling occurs due to both direct heat transfer between the air and water and the pressure difference between the water vapor surface and the air, which results in evaporation. This evaporation, by transferring heat to unsaturated dry air, removes latent heat from the water, thereby cooling the cooling water.
