Product Features: Press-nut screws are a new type of fastener used on thin plates or sheet metal. The principle involves pressing the screw into pre-drilled holes in the sheet metal, where the pre-drilled hole diameter is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the press-nut screw. Pressure is applied to force the outer diameter of the screw into the plate, causing the edges of the hole to undergo plastic deformation. The deformed material is squeezed into a guiding groove, thereby creating a locking effect.
