Compensators, also known as expansion joints or flexible joints, are an indispensable key equipment in modern industry. The applications of compensators are extremely diverse, covering areas such as the inlets and outlets of various pumps, valves, and air compressors, fire protection piping, HVAC piping, steam piping, as well as general factory piping and situations requiring flexible connections. Additionally, compensators are widely used in domestic water piping, machinery and equipment piping, hot water networks and steam networks in thermal power plants. In these applications, compensators effectively reduce vibration and noise in the piping system, enhancing operational efficiency and stability.
A variety of compensators are available, including axial, lateral, hinge-type, coal powder three-way, rectangular, high-temperature corrosion-resistant non-metallic, and standard non-metallic bellows compensators. These different types of compensators each have unique features to meet the compensation needs of various pipeline systems. For instance, the axial compensator is mainly used to absorb the axial displacement of the pipeline, while the lateral compensator is primarily used to absorb the lateral displacement.
