Phosphating processing enhances the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the paint film. The main purpose of phosphating is primarily to: provide protection for the base metal, to some extent preventing corrosion of the metal; to act as a primer before painting, improving the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the paint film; and to serve as a friction-reducing lubricant in the cold working process of metals.
