The noise emitted by steam emissions from boilers and other related thermal equipment far exceeds the values specified in China's "Industrial Enterprise Noise Health Standards". Therefore, our boiler steam exhaust muffler series products are mainly used for effective noise reduction of steam emissions from boilers and steam turbines in industrial sectors such as power generation, chemical, metallurgical, and textile industries. According to different purposes, there are several forms as follows:
1. Boiler ignition exhaust muffler (TB) type
To suppress the noise emitted by high-pressure steam flow, there are currently various forms of mufflers in the world, most of which use multi-stage throttling to reduce pressure. Due to their complex structure, large weight, and difficulty in disassembly and maintenance, their application scope is limited. The muffler of this structure overcomes the above-mentioned drawbacks.
The exhaust muffler system of this type of boiler is designed based on a reasonable noise reduction principle. High pressure steam enters the pressure reducing body through a large volume expansion after passing through a flow control system in the exhaust muffler, forming low-pressure steam that is then sprayed out. During this process, some of the internal energy in the steam flow is converted into sound energy of a certain frequency. Although the noise power is greatly reduced, it often remains higher than the standard value due to factors such as exhaust deviation from the design value. For this purpose, a double-layer structure soundproof cover was designed outside the pressure reducing body, which was designed based on the spectral characteristics of the residual noise emitted by the pressure reducing body to effectively absorb the residual noise. After the user installs it as required, the total noise reduction should reach 36-45 decibels.
2. Boiler safety valve silencer (TA type)
As is well known, for safety valves of thermal devices such as boilers, the exhaust steam should not only avoid excessive noise, but also allow the steam flow to be smoothly discharged. Therefore, the commonly used multi-stage throttling and small hole injection noise reduction methods in the past should not be used. This limitation has always been a design difficulty for safety valve exhaust silencers, and it is also the reason for the poor noise reduction effect of safety valve exhaust silencers. The muffler of the boiler safety valve also adopts the principle of anti spray and resistance noise reduction, in which a large hole expansion is used instead of a smaller diameter control hole, which further strengthens the anti spray and resistance noise reduction mechanism in structure and achieves the ideal noise reduction effect.
3. Low pressure boiler steam silencer (TD type)
Various industrial and mining enterprises use a large number of low-pressure boilers with a pressure of 1.6 MPa or less, and there are also a large number of low-pressure thermal devices in the power plant thermal system, such as back pressure steam turbines, deaerators, auxiliary gas compressors, steam turbine oil pumps, boiler continuous discharge, and periodic discharge expanders. The exhaust pipe of the above equipment requires a lightweight structure and a more convenient installation of a silencer. Our factory has designed deaerator series, back pressure steam turbine series and other series of products for different noise reduction objects, which can meet the requirements of users.

Our company's steam exhaust muffler series is carefully designed according to the user's steam emission object and emission requirements. Therefore, only products that meet the emission object, steam parameters, and emission volume can achieve ideal noise reduction effect. Therefore, the following parameters must be provided when ordering a muffler:
① For thermal power plants, the turbine model, boiler capacity, steam pressure, and temperature should be provided;
② Object of use (such as for boiler overheating discharge or steam drum safety valve discharge, etc.);
③ Emissions T/H;
④ The original outer diameter and wall thickness of the exhaust pipe;
⑤ If it is necessary to entrust our factory to carry out installation design, the original exhaust pipeline installation diagram should be provided.
For models not listed in this product manual, users can provide the relevant information mentioned above, and our factory will select them on their behalf.
4boilerInstallation instructions for steam muffler:
① The exhaust muffler should be installed perpendicular to the roof of the factory, and the muffler bracket should be fixed to the factory building with a steel support.
② To increase the wind resistance of the factory roof at high altitude, the exhaust muffler body adopts a support type support. Therefore, the exhaust pipe in front of the exhaust muffler should have an expansion bend to absorb thermal expansion. If the original exhaust pipe section is already equipped with a drain pan in the vertical direction, the expansion bend should not be installed.
③ The bottom of the exhaust muffler body is designed with drainage pipes or holes, and the holes should be checked for smoothness.
④ The hole where the exhaust pipe passes through the factory roof platform should have a thin steel plate made rainproof cover.
⑤ In principle, one safety valve is equipped with one muffler. There are two types of safety valves: single seat and double seat. For the double seat type, the exhaust pipe can be merged into a main pipe and connected to the muffler during installation. However, for the double seat type safety valve with a large exhaust volume, two mufflers can also be installed.
⑥ For exhaust silencers with small displacement used in deaerators, jet type air extractors, etc., the external design is tubular, making installation more convenient. Installation method: The exhaust muffler is installed vertically along the walls and columns of the main factory building. Install steel sliding brackets on walls and columns, and install silencers and pipelines on them. The discharge outlet of the silencer should face the direction of the roof. It should be noted that this type of muffler comes with fixed supports when it leaves the factory. When using a sliding bracket installation, the fixed supports can be omitted.
