Background
Soil, as a crucial resource for human survival, plays a vital role in our production and daily life. Among soil inorganic pollutants, heavy metals stand out, primarily because they cannot be decomposed by soil microorganisms and tend to accumulate. Some even accumulate in the human body through the food chain, posing serious harm to human health.
Introduction
The Compass 200 Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) Spectrometer provides rapid and accurate analysis of harmful metal elements such as Pb (lead), As, Cd (cadmium), Hg, Cu (copper), Ni (nickel), Zn (zinc), and Cr (chromium) in soil. It allows for real-time on-site monitoring of environmental conditions around industrial areas, mining sites, and heavy industrial zones, enabling the control of emissions and pollution management.
The Compass 200 spectrometer can simultaneously detect elements such as titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, palladium, silver, indium, tin, antimony, tungsten, platinum, gold, lead, bismuth, and sulfur. It essentially covers the inorganic elements for soil sample testing and can be customized to add more elements according to customer requirements.
Operators can directly use the Compass 200 to analyze on-site soil samples. Testing can be conducted through sampling, either in bagged samples or by using the instrument's standard sample cup. Results equivalent to those from a lab can be obtained in a short period.
