Acetylene Carbon Black
Methylacetylene black boasts the following characteristics compared to other types of carbon black: lighter in weight and lower in density; larger specific surface area with strong adsorption; stable chemical properties; good surface activity and high electrical conductivity; high purity with low ash and volatile content.
Compared to powdered acetylene black, granular carbon black offers the advantages of smaller size for easier transportation; reduced dust pollution, benefiting the improvement of the working environment; and good flowability and dispersibility.
Carbon black for acetylene is primarily used for conductivity, heat conductivity, coloring, and reinforcement. Its main applications include:
Manufacture dry cells to enhance conductivity, increase discharge capacity, and extend discharge time.
2. Battery plates, including lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries, lithium-ion batteries, etc.
3. Conductive, antistatic rubber, silicone, and plastic with small volume, good reinforcement, corrosion resistance, good processability, and easy to control conductivity.
4. Cable shielding materials, accessories, and packaging materials.
5. Specialized tires and tire capsules, which serve as reinforcement and thermal conductors. The vulcanized rubber reinforced with them boasts high tensile strength and hardness, along with excellent physical properties.
