The two-way/four-way shuttle rack system consists of shuttle racks, shuttles, and forklifts/lifts. These shuttles are small carts that move back and forth on specific tracks of the racks. The bodies or surfaces of the shuttles can rise or lower, lifting and lowering pallets of goods, and sequentially returning them to their designated positions. This high-density storage system, with its efficient storage method, offers a new choice to enhance the utilization of warehouse space.
The small cart is controlled by radio remote control. The trolley operated via radio remote control can easily move trays of goods along the track; the on-board battery provides continuous operation, primarily relying on the forward and backward movement of the four wheels. Multiple alleys can share one trolley. The number of trolleys is determined by a combination of factors including alley depth, total cargo volume, and dispatch frequency.
The shuttle racking system, composed of an aisle rack and a shuttle vehicle, achieves high-density semi-automated storage of palletized goods. Depending on the arrangement of the access points for goods storage and retrieval, it can be categorized into First In, First Out (FIFO) and Last In, First Out (LIFO) modes.
First-in, first-out (FIFO) system; the tray is loaded at one end and retrieved from the other, ensuring FIFO operation; it facilitates sequential storage and retrieval of logistics, meets general logistics requirements, and allows for zoned logistics operations, optimizing on-site management.
Drawbacks: Both ends of the shelves require forklift access aisles, resulting in lower dynamic storage utilization compared to the Last In, First Out (LIFO) system. The LIFO system only requires forklift access aisles on one side of the shelves, allowing for goods to be stored and retrieved from one side of the aisle only.
Advantages: Channels are arranged on one side only, allowing for maximum utilization of storage space, making it more suitable for situations where low material handling sequence requirements are common.
Main Function of the Shuttle Type:
1. High efficiency, significantly reducing operation time.
2. Enhanced safety, reducing shelf collisions, and improving safety production rates.
3. High-density storage with 80% space utilization and high warehouse efficiency.
4. Flexible working methods.
5. Goods can be retrieved using the First Out, First In (FIFO) method.
The application scope of the穿梭式货架:
Product Features: Ideal for storing large quantities of items with few varieties.
Industry: Highly applicable in raw material warehouses of manufacturing enterprises in industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, cold chain storage, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and tobacco, especially.
Bulk orders with limited variety: industries such as food, beverages, chemicals, and tobacco, where large batches of a single product are common and items are relatively homogeneous.
Warehouse Operations: Minimize time spent in low-temperature environments, enhance work efficiency and safety.
Increase Storage Capacity: With limited storage space, a warehouse that maximizes space utilization is a great choice for manufacturers with smaller warehouses.
