The working principle of a chiller starts with the refrigerant, Freon, being compressed into a high-temperature, high-pressure state. The compressed gaseous refrigerant then releases its heat in the condenser, which is carried away by a cooling tower or fan. This transforms it into a low-temperature, high-pressure liquid refrigerant, which then passes through a desiccant filter to remove impurities. Afterward, it undergoes throttling in the throttle valve, also known as an expansion valve, to reach a low-pressure state, becoming a gas-liquid mixture. It then absorbs heat from the cooled substance in the evaporator, retransforming into a gaseous refrigerant. This process is the refrigeration cycle of the chiller.
