Overview: This machine is a top-fed cylindrical external filter vacuum permanent magnet separator, primarily used for dewatering of coarse-grained strongly magnetic materials.
The drum is internally equipped with a ferrite magnetic system, which facilitates the rapid adsorption of magnetic particles to the filter cloth surface. The magnetic filter is primarily used for the dewatering of coarse-grained strong magnetic mineral concentrate slurry. As the feeding is from the top, the stratification of concentrate in the filter cake by particle size is more pronounced. When the magnetic concentrate forms a filter cake, the particles are simultaneously subjected to gravitational and magnetic forces. Coarse-grained concentrate moves faster towards the filter cloth than fine-grained concentrate, with the fine particles making first contact. This results in a filter cake with good permeability. Additionally, the magnetic particles in the slurry are radially distributed on the drum surface due to magnetic attraction, and the magnetic system's variation generates a magnetic stirring effect, all of which contribute to the ease of dewatering the filter cake. This leads to a thicker, more permeable filter cake, significantly enhancing productivity. Compared to a similar-sized cylindrical vacuum filter, its efficiency is three times greater.
The magnetic susceptibility of the solid particles in the slurry of this machine is not less than 3000*10^-6 cm/g, with particle sizes ranging from 0.15 to 0.8 mm. Feed concentration is 60%.
