An "European crane" is a type of overhead traveling crane. This term is not recognized in the professional vocabulary. It is a summary by domestic crane users of the reliable, versatile, and cost-effective features of domestic cranes (derived from Soviet design and manufacturing technology), combined with the characteristics of European cranes, such as compact structure, light weight, energy-saving, and low noise.
The concept of European cranes has emerged in the industry in recent years, aiming to differentiate from the so-called domestic, Soviet-style, and traditional cranes of the past. It primarily includes various industrial cranes such as bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, flexible beam cranes, and explosion-proof cranes.
European cranes are based on the lightweight and modular design philosophy, as well as the production technology of Europe, making the entire crane structure compact, stable in operation, reduced in weight, lower in height, energy-efficient, and cost-effective. This significantly reduces the construction costs for the crane operation building and the operational costs of the crane, while enhancing the overall quality and performance of the crane. European cranes are poised to become the trend in crane development and the mainstream of market demand.
Main beam section
1. The main beam is designed with a square box-shaped Kang'an H-shaped steel structure, similar to the traditional initial simple crane, but with a heavier self-weight.
2. All main welds undergo non-destructive testing.
3. The steel plate material is the commonly used domestic steel (Q235B).
4. The vertical pitch is in accordance with the Chinese National Standard.
5. All steel plates are pre-treated with shot blasting, meeting the standardization of Sa2.5, akin to our traditional crane manufacturing process.
6. Thoroughly inspect and clean the steel plate before welding, typically performed by automatic welding machines (MIG or semi-automatic welding).
End beam section
1. The end beam is formed by welding rectangular steel tube or steel plate, and is precision machined in a CNC machine tool in a single setup, achieving the permissible deviation range to ensure national dimensional accuracy and mating tolerances.
Each end beam is equipped with wheels with double flanges, shock absorbers, and derailment protection devices.
3. The maintenance platform (maintenance walkway) is arranged on the driving side of the main girder along the double girder crane.
4. The main beam and end beam are connected with high-tensile bolts, ensuring the precision of the entire machine and smooth operation.
