Demagnetizers are commonly used for the demagnetization of permanent magnet materials (ALNICO, ferrite) and low coercivity materials (hardware, mold steel, etc.), and can be divided into pulse demagnetization and AC demagnetization types. Demagnetization involves placing the workpiece in a varying amplitude that gradually decreases, causing the hysteresis loop trajectory to become smaller. When the demagnetizer's intensity drops to zero, it brings the residual magnetism Br in the workpiece close to zero. The direction and magnitude changes of the current and magnetic field in the demagnetizer must be "reversal and decay simultaneously."
