Spiral Biological Media
ProductIntroduction】
Spiral bio-media serves as the carrier for the biofilm and is the core component of the contact oxidation pond. It directly impacts the treatment effectiveness, aeration performance, capital investment, operation cycle, and costs. Suspended bio-media is a type of bio-media that has seen rapid development and widespread use in China in recent years. It includes semi-soft bio-media, elastic three-dimensional bio-media, composite bio-media, and soft bio-media. Spiral bio-media is a high-performance water treatment bio-media made by weaving and fixing fiber bundles (hydrophilic, with good stiffness, flexibility, and resilience) onto a central rope (hydrophobic, corrosion and wear-resistant, high strength) to form a spiral radiating three-dimensional arrangement.
【PrimaryFeatures】
Due to the proper material selection, rational product structure, and exquisite manufacturing process, the spiral biological media fully demonstrates its excellent performance and features in application.
(1) Offering a variety of combinations and types to accommodate various water quality concentrations, biofilm environment, and process conditions. Each monomer product can utilize single filaments of different thicknesses, woven together at varying densities for uniform arrangement. Additionally, they can be cut to multiple diameters and effective lengths, creating a series of products.
(2) Sustainably maintains a large number of microorganisms with good biofilm metabolism, rapid biofilm formation, easy biofilm shedding, and no clogging. Unlike other fibrous contact materials where sludge merely adheres to the surface, this filling material allows sludge to penetrate deep into its fibrous structure, firmly attaching and retaining it for a longer duration, thus forming a longer biological chain. The spiral radially arranged fiber bundles have an appropriate radiation radius and flexibility. Under water and gas flow conditions, they exhibit certain variability in voids and vibration, promoting excellent metabolism of the biofilm without clogging. The biofilm forms quickly and, after formation, can increase the specific surface area to over five times the volume of the fiber bundles. Once the biofilm thickens to a certain extent, it can be quickly shed and renewed under the action of air and water flow.
(3) High energy efficiency utilization. Capable of multi-level collision with bubbles, achieving dense and even cutting, which enhances the oxygen transfer rate and efficiency. Both gas volume and electricity consumption can be reduced, significantly saving energy. Facilitates gas, water,The biofilm is fully mixed and in contact for exchange, enhancing mass transfer efficiency. The biofilm mass is increased compared to the bundled or sheet-like intermittent string distribution of packing, and it can maintain good activity for a long time. The bubbles, cut densely, are minute, adding a large amount of dissolved oxygen, allowing organic matter in the water to undergo complete biochemical degradation, thereby achieving wastewater treatment effects.
(4) Excellent treatment performance with a wide range of applications. The product structure with uniformly distributed fiber bundles effectively retains anaerobic bacteria in anaerobic treatment units, enhancing the acidolysis nitrification of high-concentration wastewater organic matter and increasing the gas production rate. Using thicker fiber bundles to create a spiral multi-layer interlaced structure, its application in biofilter towers not only ensures more even water distribution but also extends the contact retention time, achieving superior treatment results.
(5) Featuring synthetic fibers, the product boasts excellent durability. The spiral bio-media performs well, with a lifespan of over ten years, allowing for long-term continuous use. It can be installed in any location without obstructing the water flow in the aeration pond, achieving a favorable biological treatment effect.
The spiral bio-filler is a high-performance water treatment bio-filler made by weaving and fixing fiber strands (hydrophilic, with good stiffness, flexibility, and resilience) in a spiral radiating pattern around a central rope (hydrophobic, corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and high-strength).
Application Range
Widely applied in new construction and renovation projects, for various high, medium, and low concentration wastewater from industries such as oil, chemicals, gas, paint-making, textiles, food, dyeing, wool spinning, cotton weaving, winemaking, domestic sewage, and micro-polluted water, utilizing aerobic and anaerobic processes.Actual applications of different treatment processes for anaerobic and anaerobic conditions can all achieve good treatment effects.
