The modified fiber ball filter material features a single fiber diameter reaching several micrometers, categorizing it as a micrometer-grade filtration material (sand filters belong to the millimeter grade), with the fiber diameter beingUM grade, with a high specific surface area, significantly enhancing the retention and adsorption capacity for particles in water. The fiber balls made from this fiber feature good elasticity, large specific surface area, high porosity, and adjustable filtration speed.

Modified fiber ball filter media has excellent hydrophilic and oleophobic properties, is less prone to caking, and is easy to backwash. During operation, it utilizes its large specific surface area to adsorb a large amount of biological mass and oxygen, repeatedly contacting with oily wastewater, thereby degrading suspended solids and organic matter in the wastewater to achieve treatment purposes. It has strong adsorption capability for fine suspended particles that are difficult to settle, through direct interception, inertial interception, and electrochemical adsorption. It is particularly effective in removing oil and floc-like substances from oily wastewater, making it suitable for fine treatment of oilfield wastewater. It is also applicable to the fine treatment of other industrial wastewater. During operation, the porosity of the filter layer gradually decreases in the direction of water flow, forming a more ideal distribution of the filter layer, resulting in better filtration effects.25~30 m/h, remove COD from wastewater.
