1. (1) We choose to use conduit and steel pipes for the design, and the construction is carried out according to the divisional engineering technology standards for conduit and steel pipe installation. Strict control must be maintained over the procurement of conduits and steel pipes, and all junction boxes, light socket boxes, switch boxes, etc., must have product certification.
(2) The pre-buried pipes must be closely coordinated with civil construction, initially accommodating the layout of water pipes, followed by the arrangement of electrical conduit locations.
(3) Outdoor power distribution lines are installed by burying cables in HDPE pipes, with a burial depth of 0.7 meters. When crossing water systems, the burial depth should not be less than 0.5 meters, and steel pipes should be used for crossing over motorways. In case of branches in the garden light lines, an L500.W300.H700 passageway manhole is set next to the garden lights. Reliable waterproofing measures should be implemented at all line branching points (such as using IP62 waterproof junction boxes).
2. Wiring: Strictly control the purchase of electrical wires, ensuring they meet design specifications and come with a factory-certified quality certificate. Upon arrival, inspect the insulation resistance, wire core diameter, material, and weight of each roll for compliance. Select the appropriate wire nut according to the pipe diameter, and ensure nylon wire nuts, terminal connectors, and other specifications and materials meet requirements. Wiring should be done after the completion of the building structure and civil engineering work. Start by threading the wire with Φ1.2~2.0mm wire, leaving a 10~15cm allowance at both ends. Then, clean the pipes, switch boxes, and socket boxes of dirt and dust. When wiring, note that conductors in the same AC circuit must be threaded in the same pipe. Wires from different circuits, different voltages, and AC versus DC cannot be placed in the same pipe, except for the following cases: circuits with a standard voltage of 50V or less; power circuits for the same equipment or equipment on the same production line without special anti-interference requirements; multiple circuits for the same decorative lighting; and multiple circuits for the same type of lighting, but the total number of conduits in the pipe should not exceed 8. Pre-wired length: 15cm for junction boxes, switch boxes, socket boxes, and lamp socket boxes; half the circumference of the distribution box for inside.
3. Lighting Installation: (1) Lights and light sources are used according to design requirements. All lights must have product certification, wiring inside the lights should not be exposed, and all accessories should be complete. (2) Check if the lights meet the requirements based on the installation location, inspect the wiring inside the lights, and ensure the installation is firm, properly positioned, neat, and aesthetically pleasing, with correct wiring. Lights over 3KG must have a pre-molded hook or bolt, and the metal housing of lights below 2.4M should be properly grounded. (3) After installation, test the insulation resistance of each branch circuit and ensure it is qualified before allowing power to be applied. After powering on, check if the control of the lights is smooth, ready, and the switch corresponds to the control sequence of the lights. If any issues are found, power must be disconnected first, then the cause should be identified and repaired.
4. Grounding Protection and Safety Measures: (1) Grounding protection is implemented using the TT method, with a closed loop artificial grounding device set around the outdoor lighting cabinet. The grounding rods are made of 50*50*5mm L2500 galvanized angle steel, and the connecting wires are 40*4mm galvanized flat steel. The spacing between grounding rods is 5m, with a burial depth of 0.8m, and the grounding resistance does not exceed 10 ohms. (2) All lamp grounding terminals within the system are reliably connected through the PE wire and then grounded to the lighting cabinet's PE busbar. (3) To prevent lightning overvoltage, a first-level surge protector is installed inside each outdoor lighting cabinet.
