Stokes Microvac has stood the test of time and now, with further optimization, upgrades, and fine-tuning, the new "J" series promises excellent performance, low maintenance requirements, and operating costs.
Technology
The Edwards Stokes Microvac pump is an independent oil-sealed sliding vane pump, featuring a low-speed, large-gap design for extended service life. A new seal valve design improves the O-ring seal area, while the fully enclosed air-cooled motor ensures lower noise, reduced power consumption, and longer maintenance intervals for customers. The lower speed reduces wear on the piston and sliding parts, thereby extending service life and enhancing the ability to handle particulate applications.
Integrated oil distribution systems no longer require external piping; they operate leak-free thanks to their unique design. The pump piston is mounted on the main drive shaft via an eccentric piece and supported by two freely swinging hinge rods. As the piston rotates, air enters the pump through the piston slide. When the piston reaches the top central position, the intake port closes, and the captured air is then compressed and, as the piston continues to rotate, expelled through the exhaust valve and released from the compartment's exhaust outlet.
Applications: Automotive, Coating, Chemical Processing, General Use, Heat Treatment, Leak Detection, Metallurgy, Melting, PET Processing, Transformer Drying
Key Features and Advantages:
Dual Piston Design: Easy to maintain, with fewer parts; components across different models can be interchanged, and the large clearance design optimizes performance in stringent applications.
External Balance: Lower vibration levels for easy maintenance
Three-bearing design: Durable heavy-duty design, longer service life for pistons and blades; compared to similar products on the market, the average maintenance interval increases by up to 50%; longer life for seals.
Sealed Valve Covers: Longer service life, low noise, easy maintenance, interchangeable parts, and design for harsh environment Hastelloy springs and reset springs.
O-ring seals: easy to maintain, longer maintenance intervals, reduced leakage risk
Integrated assembly performance: Reduces leak paths, facilitates component installation
Low RPM: Less than 500 RPM, 50% slower than similar products on the market, with less wear and tear, longer lifespan for the rotating pump, and stronger capability to handle particulate applications.
Full pump speed reaches 1 Torr: Reduces cycle time
Lower vacuum: Limit less than 0.01 Torr
Up to 600 Torr: Continuous high-pressure pumping, with flexibility for a variety of applications and simple operation.
