The 34980A multi-functional switch/metering unit is compact and serves as a single-machine solution for medium to high-density switching, measurement applications during design verification, automated testing, and data collection.

The 34980A is an 8-slot mainframe, featuring optional built-in 6.5-digit DMM and 19 different plug-in modules to choose from. It offers capabilities from DC to 20 GHz, digital I/O, D/A converters, and counters/totals counters. A single mainframe can provide 560 dual-line multiplexer channels or 1024 dual-line matrix intersections.

34980A includes standard interfaces (USB, Ethernet, and GPIB) for PC connection. With Ethernet connectivity and a graphical network interface, you can remotely access and control these devices.

Standard connectors on the module also allow you to use existing standard 50-pin and 70-pin shielded cables for easy connection of test signals from instruments to test units or other test points.
