The 23GNC25 aviation cadmium-nickel alkaline battery serves as a secondary chemical power source, primarily used as an emergency backup power supply for aircraft, capable of directly or indirectly starting the aircraft engine. It can also provide a 28V emergency DC power supply before the aircraft engine starts or in the event of engine failure.
The battery assembly consists of 23 cadmium-nickel full-sintered batteries connected in series within a stainless steel housing, equipped with a plug for connection to the aircraft. The assembly is robust and capable of withstanding general impact and vibration conditions.
