The bucket is the primary container used for hoisting waste rock, personnel, and materials during the excavation of a vertical well shaft. It can also be used for drainage when the inflow of water in the shaft is less than 6 m³ per hour. Depending on the form of waste unloading, buckets are categorized into hook-type buckets and seat-hook buckets.
