Application Method:
1. Boards should be tightly packed with no gaps between them; carved boards must not have any clearance. For walls with paint-coated finishes, polyfoam boards are adhered using the dot and frame method, with a minimum bonding area of 40%.
2. No adhesive should be applied at the seams. After applying adhesive to the polystyrene board, quickly affix the board to the wall, and clean any excess adhesive promptly after each piece is applied.
3. If gaps are formed due to uneven or crooked cutting of polystyrene boards, and the gap width exceeds 2mm, use polystyrene strips to fill the gap and sand it flat. The height difference between joints should not exceed 1.5mm; otherwise, use mortar or a specialized sanding tool to smooth it out.
4. After the adhesive is applied to the polystyrene board surface, if exposed to the air for too long, a thin crust may form on the adhesive surface, affecting its bonding strength. Then, use a level ruler to flatten it to ensure evenness and secure adhesion.
