Anti-torque steel wire rope, also known as woven anti-torque steel wire rope or non-rotating steel wire rope, is made by regularly interweaving a group of single-strand round steel wire ropes twisted to the left and a group twisted to the right. The number of twists in each group is equal, and the weaving is symmetrical. The two spiral torques have opposite directions and balance each other out, giving the anti-torque steel wire rope its non-rotating characteristic. Consequently, it has found widespread application, particularly in the construction of power transmission lines, where it serves as guide ropes and traction ropes for tensioned wire laying.

It can be divided into square and hexagonal cross-sections, and into 8-strand, 12-strand, 16-strand, and 18-strand varieties by the number of strands.

Anti-torque wire rope is available with or without a core as per customer request.

The spacing of the anti-torque wire rope should be uniformly maintained between 10-14 times its nominal diameter, with the spacing size ensuring that the insert sleeve rope cannot be pulled out, and the spacing fluctuation should be within 10%.
